Co-workers
Are you considering a gap year, career break, ADiA, FSJ, EVS or welfare training placement, and can give 6 months to 2 years? Are you a mature person, perhaps with family, looking for a life change, a step into mutual support, continuous learning and growing responsibility within an intentional community with high ideals and professional standards? Your skills, personal qualities, ideals and aspirations may find a new expression.

Volunteering
A number of volunteers give their time to a whole range of activities that include gardening, handcrafts, printing, transport and tutoring. As well as new volunteers, many have been coming to the Lantern for a number of years and all are considered members of the Community. Their individual contribution is highly valued and appreciated.

Employment
Whilst historically all Camphill communities have been carried and developed by volunteer Co-workers, all centres rely to different degrees on people who offer their skills and expertise as employees. The Lantern Community now employs approximately 40 people who are engaged in a variety of work, covering areas such as finance, administration, workshops and Companion and house support. The skills that they bring and the commitment they make are valued by all, as well as the positive contribution through social interaction. Our employees are very much part of the Lantern 'family', and included in many social and cultural activities throughout the year.
